Having a fit body requires hard work, dedication, discipline, and perseverance. That is the secret to success. At least that’s what we know. However, there are also other factors to consider; things that are important to success as well.
How to be successful in Fitness?
1. Establish a Goal. Avoid Mindlessly Jumping into a Band Wagon.
Ask yourself, why should I do this? Do I really want this? What am I trying to prove? Don’t start right off the bat, jumping into intense training or program. Just because your friends or colleagues started training that doesn’t mean you should too. Decide and set a goal, this will help motivate yourself. I would recommend you to read: “How to Start Working Out.”
Remember: Without a goal, there is no purpose. Without any purpose, there’s no result.
2. Find a Mentor.
Look for a person, anyone, that you think has a great impact on you. Someone you can listen to. He or she could be a trainer at the gym, a “YouTuber”. But of course, see to it that he went trough all this or has been successful in fitness. Being inspired and motivated will keep you going.

3. Make a Schedule.
Come up with a schedule that you are comfortable with. Everyone has spare time. ALWAYS. Unless you’re a woman, you’re always busy making a sandwich in the kitchen. Kidding! Don’t tell me you have no time when you are reading this right now.
Making a schedule will keep you on track. It can also be very helpful in knowing what you have missed. Just like when I missed a program when we hiked Mt. Maranat. However, because an organized schedule, I was able to adjust and be right on track.
4. Have a Journal.
Grab yourself a notebook and write everything that you have done with your training. Are you getting stronger? Are you progressing? Check your training last month. Have you beaten it? Good! You’re getting closer and closer to success.
Having everything recorded helps you sort things out. If you notice, most of professional athletes and or bodybuilders have a journal. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and my inspiration, Steve Cook, to name a few.

5. Do the Work.
Being successful is doing the work:
Here’s the single greatest skill in any endeavor: doing the work.
Not doing the work that is easy for you to do. Not doing the work that makes you look good. Not doing the work when you feel inspired. Just doing the work.
You might not be a brilliant writer, but if you actually write something each week, then you’ll be better than most because you are doing the work.
You might not be an incredible athlete, but if you never miss workouts, then you’ll be better than most because you are doing the work.
You might not be a savvy business person, but if you make a point to serve your customers every single day, then you’ll be better than most because you are doing the work.
This is true in fitness. It is by “doing it” makes you successful.
Here’s a quote from Beatles: “There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.”
